C.S. Lewis: "God will invade. But I wonder whether people who ask God to interfere openly and directly in our world quite realize what it will be like when He does. When that happens, it is the end of the world. When the author walks on to the stage the play is over.

"God is going to invade, all right, but what is the good of saying you are on His side then, when you see the whole natural universe melting away like a dream and something else - something it never entered your head to conceive - comes crashing in; something so beautiful to some of us and so terrible to others that none of us will have any choices left? For this time it will be God without disguise; something so overwhelming that it will strike either irresistible love or irresistible horror into every creature. It will be too late then to choose your side. . . That will not be the time for choosing: it will be the time when we discover which side we really have chosen, whether we realized it before or not.

"Now, today, this moment, is our chance to choose the right side. God is holding back to give us that chance. It will not last forever. We must take it or leave it."

ARE YOU SAVED? What do you need to be saved from you ask? Good question...many fail to ask this all important question until it is too late. So first the bad news:  You are going to DIE.

Now the good news, which by the way is what "gospel" and "evangel" means:  JESUS CHRIST has provided immortality for you!

The word "sin" in the Old Testament means, "to miss the mark", to do anything outside the will of God, to not do that which should have been done, to simply live not having always known the will of God. God says "the wages of sin is death". So you are in trouble. No one can be perfect...or can they?

God became a man, Jesus Christ, and being God He is perfect. Then, even though He knew no sin, he became sin for every human being on the planet who ever lived. Death was the price that had to be paid for our sin, so Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, died. He paid for you ALREADY!  The reason you can be sure that Jesus' death was enough for your freedom from death and sin is because: JESUS ROSE FROM THE GRAVE.

That's the "good news". But you must understand...

  • You must believe that Jesus is the only way to salvation: "I am the way, the truth, and the Life, and no one comes to the Father but by Me" (John 14:6).

  • You must recognize your sinfulness before God: "Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned" (Rom. 5:12, NIV)

  • You must recognize that your sin has caused a separation between you and God: "But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear" (Isaiah 59:2).

  • You must ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins because Jesus has the authority to forgive you of your sins: "Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me'" (Matthew 28:18, NIV)...and

Jesus told you to ask Him for your requests: "You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it" (John 14:14, NIV) Jesus is the one who forgives sins: "But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins....'He said to the paralytic, "I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home"'" (Mark 2:10-11, NIV).

This last "step" is called receiving Jesus. John 1:12 says, "Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God (NIV).

If you want to become a Christian you must accept Jesus as your Savior. Trust Him. You must pray to Him and ask Him to forgive you of your sins and come into your heart.

    He will. He loves you.

Salvation is only a prayer of faith away, So what are you waiting for?

Jesus, I am a sinner. I have lived my life ruled by the world, ruled by my "self".
I realize now that you paid for my sins on the cross in Jerusalem. I am sorry for my sins and I turn away from them with your help. I will live for you. Come into my life and into me. Change me into your image. I will use your Word "the Bible"as the guide for my life. Thank you for showing me the truth and saving me. In your precious name "Jesus" I pray, Amen.

If you kicked yourself off of the throne of your life and put Jesus in your place, let us know! We want to rejoice with you!
